Why Go
Indie-folk trio Joseph delivers harmonically rich storytelling and lush arrangements, bringing their poignant new material to August Hall.
About the Artist
Joseph is an American folk band hailing from Portland, Oregon, consisting of three sisters: Natalie Closner and twins Allison and Meegan Closner. They first made waves in early 2014 with their self-released debut album, Native Dreamer Kin. Their sophomore effort, I'm Alone, No You're Not, came out on August 26, 2016, under ATO Records and was produced by Mike Mogis, known for his work with Bright Eyes. Joseph's sound blends rich harmonies and introspective lyrics, drawing from their folk roots while infusing a contemporary feel.
Performing at August Hall, a historic venue in Union Square with a capacity of 1,200, will likely amplify their emotive performances. The intimate yet spacious setting is perfect for their layered vocal arrangements and storytelling, allowing the audience to connect deeply with their music. The atmosphere at August Hall is ideal for experiencing the warmth and depth of Joseph's sound.
